MEET THE FOUNDERS
An insightful, depth of Compliance, Commercial & Operational Efficiency.
Claire Dallas
I graduated in 1996 with a BSc Hons in Psychology from Goldsmith's College, University of London. Thereafter I commenced my career in the telecommunications industry establishing the first calling card fraud unit before managing all customer network schematics and documentation databases across EMEA progressing onto designing data routes across pan-European SDH network.
This rapidly led to joining a corporate network architecture team where I re-designed new inner city rings across Europe and the connectivity at the New York hubs for their first transatlantic route. During these projects, technical project management of highly complex site migrations, network enhancement engineering projects, & network fault resolutions were embraced with vigour with highly successful outcomes.
After the telecommunications’ crash, I joined ETT (GTT) to head their Service Management where I introduced sales transformation reviews of superior client revenue sources to investigate key operational factors, before creating a new service development plan supporting new business. I then developed customised service reports for superior clients (e.g. Ford / Bloomberg) providing statistical board reporting on existing solutions & operational performance in relation to their key business categories and targets.
For the suppliers, I implemented standardised tiered SLA across 60 suppliers. In 2004, I returned to Viatel as a Bid Manager for bespoke high value solutions which involved commercial risk analysis for formal/ high revenue bids before presenting the business cases to the CEO & Senior Management and designed & managed the UK & Europe formal Bid Process incorporating competitive qualification, formulating the offer, retrieving senior approvals & producing the proposal to the required specification.
This led to analysing cost model/pricing strategies for commercial competitiveness across bespoke solutions for all sales channels and product management. From this I created & managed the Financial Approval Matrix; designed to protect the company business plan & authorise pricing approvals for all Sales channels. After a promotion to Head of Bid & Commercial Management I extended the remit to draft Special Conditions for bespoke Agreements. In 3 months, designed & implemented the functional Wholesale Sales pricing process.
I achieved a two-fold monthly revenue increase in 2 months and formulated the commercial proposition & negotiated technical T’s & C’s, on behalf of the CTO, to successfully finalise the purchase of a leased datacentre. Achieved £1M+ additional annual revenue. In 2008, I joined the BBC as Senior Commercial Manager reporting to the CTO and introduced Commercial Management by setting up a team of 7 staff to manage commercial compliance for the global BBC Technology Outsourcing Agreement, £230M+ per annum.
Provided savings and value for money for 90% of technology provision pan-BBC and chaired Finance governance to manage issues and capture all savings. After a nine month sabbatical in Sierra Leone with Mercy Ships providing global marketing material I moved to Liverpool and settling into commercial consultancy work. Here, the opportunity arose to launch Fortis Legal, a niche, legal & consultancy firm of Company, Commercial, Human Resource Management and Employment specialists, offering high quality, practical advice, administration and consultative strategies for high growth and established companies.
